McTominay and Gilmour make Napoli debuts in win

Scotland midfielders Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour made their Napoli debuts in a comfortable Serie A win at Cagliari.

The pair - signed from Manchester United and Brighton respectively - came on together in the 74th minute with the club 3-0 up.

The match was suspended for seven minutes in the first half as opposition fans threw objects at each other and on the pitch, including fireworks.

Antonio Conte's side have won three games in a row to move to the top of the fledgling Serie A table.

Giovanni di Lorenzo opened the scoring at Cagliari with a deflected strike and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia doubled their lead from Romelu Lukaku's pass.

Lukaku pounced on a defensive error to score his second goal in two games with Alessandro Buongiorno heading a late fourth.
